Safeguarded Energy Sustainability Workshops

• Provide engaging workshops on energy, climate change, renewable technology and responsible consumption.

• Complete appropriate risk assessments and safeguarding checks before delivery.

• Ensure all external facilitators comply with the school’s safeguarding and visitor policies, including DBS requirements where applicable.

• Obtain parental or guardian consent where required, particularly for off-site activities, photography or data collection.

• Adapt sessions to pupils’ ages, abilities and additional needs.

• Maintain appropriate staff supervision, emergency procedures and clear arrangements for reporting concerns.

• Use inclusive, factual and age-appropriate content without creating unnecessary anxiety about climate change.
